MANDATE

• To facilitate the participation of residents and other community interests in the overall planning and development process.
• To facilitate an ongoing planning process that engages the community in seven key areas:

• Revitalization
• Health & Safety
• Employment & Economic Development
• Education
• Diversity & Settlement
• Youth
• Arts & Culture

• To support the development of the Social Development Plan which includes the above seven key areas

• To assist in the implementation of the Social Development Plan

• To partner with organization with an interest in the redevelopment of Regent Park, where appropriate for the development and implementation of the Social Development Plan

• To identify community needs as they evolve, and adapt the activities of the organization as necessary

• To work in collaboration with Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) and its redevelopment agents, the City of Toronto, neighbourhood agencies and institutions and any additional partners and funders, to maximize the opportunities the redevelopment presents to enhance the Regent Park community.
